The Hoover Windtunnel series of vacuums utilizes a specialized 3 channel suction to provide serious power to the brush head. The increased power created by the Windtunnel technology allows this line of vacuums to blast through the messes assailing your carpet. The Wind Tunnel 3 High Performance is specialized to tackle the toughest of dirt, and capture all of the tricky pet hair that lodges itself in the fibers of your carpet.

Features

Bagless debris canister – the Windtunnel 3 features an easy to empty container to hold all the dust, dirt, and pet you suck up during cleaning. The canister includes a washable HEPA media filter that traps 99% of allergens and dust in the canister to prevent these pesky irritants from escaping into the air and aggravating your sinuses.

QuickPass Brush Roll – this brush roll is able to turn on and off for different floor types. When activated, the brush roll provides serious agitation and cleaning power to clean your dirtiest carpets quickly.

15-foot accessory reach – The extended reach of the accessory wand allows you to reach all the way up to the highest ceilings, fans, and curtains. The 40-foot power cord, and Pet Turbo tool give this vacuum the ability to reach all the areas of your house, including stairs and crevices.

The specialized Pivoting Dusting Tool adapts the accessory angle to clean the top side of fans and shelves that are usually hard to reach.

Hoover Windtunnel 3 High Performance Reviews

The Windtunnel 3 has some pretty impressive features on paper, but we wanted to put it to the test to see how this vacuum held up in a real-world environment. So, we set up our test floor with an array of dirt obstacles to put this vac through its paces.

Our first impression of the Windtunnel 3’s performance was the powerful and consistent suction. Across out test ground the “Multi-Cyclonic” power of the vacuum was able to grab almost everything we threw in front of it. We activated the brush roll, and found that the vacuum was able to pull up the dirt and hair we had ground deep into the carpet.

We loved the 40-foot cord that is standard with the vacuum as well. Our shop is pretty, and we were able to reach almost every corner. The 15-foot reach of the accessory tool, allowed us to reach the majority of our stair case. This is a major plus, because at 18 pounds this vacuum would be difficult to haul up and down an entire flight of stairs.

The real downside of the WindTunnel 3 High Performance is the pivoting dust brush. We understand the concept, but in practice we found that the head was difficult to use, since we couldn’t really see if the head was actually making solid contact with the top of our fan blades and cabinets.
