BISSELL 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum with OnePass
This one right here might very well be the best vacuum under 100 dollars. Let’s talk about its features and what makes it so great.
Features
One of the really cool parts about the BISSELL 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum is that it comes with a Febreze filter. This means that it passes the suctioned air through a Febreze filter in order to get rid of nasty smells like pet odors. This is great for people like us who have lots of pets, love to cook, and have messy kids.
Getting rid of bad smells in our homes is a big bonus. The BISSELL 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum only weighs 15 pounds, making it easy to push around and maneuver on stairs. The fact that it has a telescopic handle makes it easier to use on stairs. We also like how it has a really long power cord, so there is no issue with reaching the top of the stairs.
This particular vacuum comes with a large see-through dirt bin. The fact that it is very large is useful because you don’t have to empty the dirt out all that often. Plus, being able to see inside of it automatically lets you know just how full it is. We like the dirt bin because we can see just how much cat hair this vacuum was able to suck in. Probably one of the best parts about this vacuum is that it features OnePass Technology.
In other words, the powerful multi-cyclonic suction helps to suck up virtually anything in the path of the BISSELL 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum, so you never have to move over the same spot twice. We hate having to make multiple passes, so this is very useful for us. It’s impressive because it can actually pull in small pebbles and nasty cat litter, which means you don’t have to get your hands dirty with the mess cats make.
We also like how the BISSELL 9595A CleanView Bagless Vacuum comes with a variety of extras. It includes a Turbo Brush which is ideal for stairs, furniture, carpets, upholstery, and a few other things too. The power brush is actually so strong that you might want to be careful on older carpets as it can actually pull the material right out of the carpet. On that same note, you also get an extension wand, a dusting brush, and a crevice tool. Getting high up, low down, in cracks, or other hard to reach areas is not a problem with this vacuum. Cleaning our dirty shades and curtains has never been easier.
PROS
What we like:
- Very lightweight
- Quite powerful OnePacc suction - strong enough for cat litter
- Large dirt bin
- Long power cord
- Eliminates odors
- Comes with attachments for all situations
- Great for maneuvering stair
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Febreze filter cannot be washed/cleaned
- Belt tends to overhead and wear out
- It is very loud - but at least that shows that the motor is powerful
Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum Cleaner
When it comes to the best cheap vacuum, the Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum might just be it. Let’s talk about the different features that this affordable vacuum has.
Features
One of the best features of the Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum is that uses dual channels of air suction to lift up way more dirt than most other cheap vacuums out there. The air passes through 2 cyclonic stages for increased suction power and to prevent the loss of suction as well.
We had an older vacuum before which lost suction power after a couple months. We’ve been using this one for half a year now and it has managed to not lose any suction power at all.
Another thing that you might like about the Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum is that it has an extremely high capacity dirt and dust bin. You should be able to vacuum your whole house a few times over without ever having to empty the bin. The bottom release button is very convenient and prevents you from having to get your hands dirty.
We have a really dirty home due to lots of pets, so having a large bin is pretty useful. We hate having to empty the bins constantly, a problem which this vacuum seems to solve pretty well.
We like how this is a bagless vacuum with a simple filter. The filter is easy to clean and you never have to deal with bags. Plus, the exterior of the vacuum is see-through so you can see exactly what is going on inside of the canister. We always used to waste way too much money on vacuum bags, but that is not the case anymore!
We really like how the filter for this vacuum is washable because it means not having to replace filters all of the time. The filter is actually made with HEPA technology to help clean the air and remove bacteria and allergens from reentering your home. We have lots of people with allergies in our home, so this HEPA filter is a big bonus for us. Cleaning the HEPA filter is somewhat of a pain though.
The Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum comes with a variety of attachments to help make your life easier. With this model you get an extension wand, a crevice tool, a turbo tool for stairs and carpets, and a dusting tool as well. You get everything you need to clean your home in one neat package. What does need to be said is that you need to have the carpet brush on the highest setting in order to make it effective for hard floors, something we noticed when testing it out.
The lowest carpet setting actually manages to suck in everything from hair and cat litter to old rocks and pebbles that have been imbedded in our carpets for years.
PROS
What we like:
- Fairly powerful – won’t lose suction
- Dual cyclonic system – loud but powerful
- Pretty lightweight – decent for maneuvering stairs
- Long power cord
- Large capacity canister – easy to empty
- Washable filter – HEPA properties
- Lots of accessories
CONS
What we didn't like:
- A little heavier than we would like
- Not great for edges (where wall meets floor)
- A little too much fragile plastic
- Power switch is located in an odd place
BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum
If you need a great but affordable vacuum for hard floors and to deal with lots of pet hair, the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum might just be the way to go for you. It could very well be the best budget vacuum out there right now. Why is that?
Features
One of the best features of the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum is that it is specially designed for both large open spaces and edges too. It is designed to get the dirt from cracks and wall edges without any special tools, attachments, or god forbid a broom.
There are a lot cracks, walls, and tight places in our home, so the fact that it can to those areas helps save us a lot of time.
Another great aspect of the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum is that the cleaning head is constructed with a special “V” design. This means that it sucks up larger dirt and particles in the center, while the outer edges of the V help to pick up smaller particles. We used to have to make several passes over one spot, but that is not the case anymore.
Yet another neat aspect of the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum is that it is made with swiveling head. This makes it easy to maneuver around furniture, table legs, and other obstacles that might be in your way. It even makes it easy to get around our cats and dogs, which by the way leave a lot of hair laying around which this vacuum has no problem sucking up.
The BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum is specially designed for use on hard floors, but it also does ok on low pile carpets. It is made to pick up as much dirt as possible without damaging your hardwood floors. We love our hardwood floors, so preventing scratches is a big deal for us. Keep in mind, we tried using this bad boy on a deep carpet. It did not go so well due to the fact that it doesn’t have a moving bristle power head.
Something else that stands out about this particular vacuum is that is has special rubber bristles which are designed to attract pet hair. Vacuuming up after your pets has never been easier. We used to spend hours trying to broom and suck up pet hair, only to have it get stuck in the vacuum bristles, but we haven’t experienced this problem with this vacuum. The dirt canister included with this vacuum is very easy to empty, making cleanup time a breeze. We hate cleaning, which is why we love this vacuum. We don’t want even more work in terms of emptying the canister, something which this model helps make much easier than before.
The cyclonic technology used to create suction for the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum is very powerful and reliable too. We found that while it can’t pick up really big items, getting plant dirt, pebbles, kitty litter, and everything in between is no problem at all. Even though this bad boy is powerful, we actually find it to be fairly quiet, which is impressive considering how much dirt it can suck up. It’s useful for vacuuming when you need to be quiet, such as when you live in an apartment.
The fact that the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum only weighs 7 pounds is another big bonus because you won’t get fatigued just from vacuuming. Our home is pretty big, so the fact that it is lightweight is a big bonus for us. We have found that most people can lift it up with just one hand, which is a big convenience factor.
PROS
What we like:
- Great for hard floors – won’t damage hardwood
- Great for pet hair
- Very lightweight
- Easy to steer and maneuver
- Dirt bin is easy to empty
- Good suction power
- Special V shape
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Will not do good on high pile carpets
- Dirt canister does not have a very high capacity
BISSELL CleanView Plus Rewind Bagless Upright Vacuum
This is one of the higher end affordable vacuums to go with. This might just be the best inexpensive vacuum cleaner out there. Even though it does not cost very much, it manages to bring a whole lot to the table none the less.
Features
Perhaps the best feature of the BISSELL CLeanView Plus Upright Vacuum is that it utilized multi-stage filtration techniques. In other words, this vacuum comes with something like a HEPA filter in order to remove bacteria and allergens from the air. It helps improve the air quality in your home.
While the filter is useful, it does take some time to clean well, which can be a bit of a pain.
Something else we like about the BISSELL CLeanView Plus Upright Vacuum is that it comes with a 25 foot long power cord. This means that you don’t always have to be right beside a power outlet to use it. It’s useful for people like us who had a bad electrician, one who neglected to add enough power outlets throughout our home. Moreover, the automatic rewind feature makes pulling in the cord easy and simple.
We really like the tank filter included with the BISSELL CLeanView Plus Upright Vacuum. Unlike many other models out there, this one comes with a washable filter. So, instead of having to replace the filter, you can just wash it. Just like with the HEPA filter in this vacuum, washing the tank filter is a bit of a pain, but definitely doable if you have some time. Speaking of the dirt canister, it is pretty large, so you don’t have to empty it too often. Moreover, when you do have to empty the dirt canister, you only have to push a button and everything falls right out of the bottom. It’s nice and easy to open, even for grandmas with arthritis.
Another awesome feature of the BISSELL CLeanView Plus Upright Vacuum is that it comes with a triple action brush head. You might not be able to turn off the rolling brushes, but you can set it to a high setting to make it ideal for hardwood floors. The bristles are soft enough to be used on hard floors but also stiff enough for carpets, which is great for houses like ours that have various floor types. This brush head works to loosen, lift, and take away particles from deep within carpets.
On that same note, you also get a turbo brush tool for upholstery, stairs, and other soft surfaces. This model also comes with a dusting brush, crevice tool, and a nifty extension wand too.
PROS
What we like:
- Great brush head
- Good for hard floors and carpets
- Comes with a lot of accessories
- Large capacity bin – easy to empty
- Fairly good suction
- Washable filter
- Automatic rewind power cord
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Not great for vacuuming stairs
- A little heavier than we would like
- The bottom of the vacuum can get extremely hot – might burn small holes in carpets if you are not careful
Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum
If you need a vacuum that is convenient, powerful, and durable, you are looking in the right direction. If you are looking for the best inexpensive vacuum, the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum might just be the best option for you.
Features
The fact that the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum is a cordless vacuum is a big bonus. This means that you never have to worry about being close enough to an electrical outlet or extension cords ever again.
It actually has a fairly long battery life, plus a short charging time, so you should be able to vacuum your whole home with one charge with ease.
Simply put, we hate cords because they always get in the way and they can break too. Without a cord, you only have to worry about charging it every now and again, which is done easily enough. That being said, our house is big, so the battery usually doesn’t last for the whole house, but like we said, our house is huge, over 4000 square feet.
Another thing that stands out about the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum is that it only weighs 7 pounds. Being so lightweight makes this particular vacuum extremely convenient to use because you won’t get tired in the middle of vacuuming, plus going up and down stairs with it is easy as pie. Even our kids and the seniors in our home don’t have any problems maneuvering this bad boy.
Yet another thing that we like about the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum is that it has a very large dust and dirt bin. The fact that the canister is so large is very useful because you won’t have to stop to empty it in the middle of vacuuming, something that will happen often if you have lots of pets and kids like we do. The dust bin is also easy to empty thanks to the quick release button on the bottom. You don’t ever have to come into contact with the dirt, something which people like us really hate.
The other thing that we really like about the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum is that it comes with a 2 speed brush roll. The brush in the head of the vacuum can go 2 different speeds, one of which is ideal for carpets and other soft floors, and other which is ideal for harder surfaces like wood, laminate, and tile.
The head of the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum uses swivel technology so you can easily maneuver it around the home. Getting around table legs and other obstacles is not very hard at all with this vacuum. For people with lots of clutter and various floor types like us, this is extremely useful.
Also, the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Stick Vacuum is made to be able to pick up lots of pet hair, making it ideal for anyone with dogs or cats. It can also pick up larger items like kitty litter and pebbles. However, if there is a lot of that stuff, it might kick back some litter or pebbles onto your feet.
PROS
What we like:
- Good for carpets and hard surfaces
- Great for pet hair
- Dual speed brush roll
- Easy empty canister – large capacity
- Swivel head for easy steering
- Cordless with a long battery life
- Lightweight – good for stairs
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Needs recharging every time you are done vacuuming
- Doesn’t do so well with larger particles
Eureka RapidClean Step Handheld Corded Vacuum
If you are on the market for a nice handheld vacuum, but don’t want to spend all that much money, the Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum might be the best cheap vacuum cleaner for you. It is not meant for large open spaces, but it has a lot of features that still make it a top contender.
Features
One of the neatest parts about the Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum is that it is so small and lightweight. It is perfect for lifting up with one hand and will allow you to vacuum a variety of surfaces with ease. This is the easiest vacuum we have ever used for small messes. Of course, it is not built for big spaces, which is a drawback.
We use it for stairs and upholstery mostly. That being said, we do like how the small size makes this vacuum ideal for getting into the corners of our home. It actually picks up crevice and corner dirt better than our big vacuum.
To protect your floors from getting scratched, the Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum also comes with soft wheels with an easy roll feature. However, this feature is better for vacuuming wooden tables, as doing a whole floor with this small item is totally senseless. The Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum comes with a convenient bare floor brush. This makes it safe and easy to clean hard surfaces like wooden stairs and tables without fear of scratching them. We have lots of antiques and wooden tables in our home, plus oak stairs too, so this is pretty useful.
The Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum also comes with a on and off brush roll feature. In other words, there is a motorized brush on the bottom that can be turned on or off. This brush roll is more than ideal for vacuuming carpets. We like using it for small area rugs, but you don’t want to use it for fully carpeted homes, as you will be on your knees like Cinderella scrubbing a floor. It’s not built for large areas, but it does awesome with smaller areas.
This is a bagless vacuum, which is great because you never have to empty any bags. Simply use the quick release feature to empty the dirt canister whenever it is full. The filter is actually washable, which is another big bonus no doubt. Since this thing is built for smaller areas and small cleanup jobs, don’t expect to be able to vacuum your whole home before having to empty it. The capacity is fairly limited.
The Eureka RapidClean Handheld Corded Vacuum comes with a 25 foot long power cord and a 3 foot extension hose for your convenience. It even comes with a crevice tool to get into those dirty sofa cracks. It’s not the biggest vacuum on the market, but in our opinion, it does have some useful features. We do like cordless vacuums, which can be convenient for a smaller handheld one. However, we like that this model does have a power cord because it means increased suction and power when compared to cordless ones.
PROS
What we like:
- Good for hard and soft floors
- Very lightweight
- Filter is washable
- Easy release dirt canister
- Comes with an extension hose and crevice tool
- Won’t damage floors
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Small dirt canister
- Not too much suction power
Black+Decker BDASV102 Airswivel Ultra Light Weight Upright Vacuum Cleaner
This particular vacuum is another top contender for the best cheap vacuum cleaner. While it may not cost a whole lot, it is certainly powerful, functional, and useful too.
Features
Something that you might appreciate about the Black+Decker BDASV102 AirSwivel Upright Vacuum is that it only weighs 9 pounds. It is easy to push around without getting tired and gown upstairs or downstairs is no issue at all. It is easy to carry, which is definitely a big bonus.
We like making our kids do chores like vacuuming, which is totally doable for them thanks to this lightweight option.
Another thing that you might like about the Black+Decker BDASV102 AirSwivel Upright Vacuum is that it has a huge 2 liter dirt canister. You won’t even have to empty it every time you vacuum. We don’t even empty it for several vacuuming sessions.
Moreover, the filter is totally washable so you don’t need to replace it all of the time. Washing it can be a bit of a pain, but it can be dealt with without too much trouble. The canister is also very easy to empty with the simple quick release button that allows the dirt to simply fall out.
The next thing that you can appreciate about the Black+Decker BDASV102 AirSwivel Upright Vacuum is that it is user-friendly and comfortable. It comes with an ergonomically designed handle that is comfy and easy to hold. Some people in our household have arthirits, so this does help quite a bit. Moreover, the fact that it has a swiveling head to easily maneuver around table legs and other obstacles is very useful too. It also has an adjustable height feature, making it easy for everyone in our home to use.
We do like the power brush roll which the Black+Decker BDASV102 AirSwivel Upright Vacuum comes with. It has a 12 inch path so you don’t have to take very long when vacuuming large surfaces. We are busy people, so the fact that we can vacuum our home in a limited amount of time is definitely helpful. Moreover, the head is ideal for both carpets and hardwood floors, which is because the bristles are soft enough for hardwood but also hard enough to get deep into carpets.
Keep in mind that you cannot turn off the moving carpet bristles, so if you only have hardwood or tile floors, it might not be the best vacuum for you. It also has a bit of a difficult time rolling over deep and thick carpets.
With the Black+Decker BDASV102 AirSwivel Upright Vacuum, you also get a special pet tool for picking up pet hair, a special too for upholstery, a 3 in one crevice and brush tool, and a convenient 12 foot extension hose too. It does do a good job at picking up things like cat hair and kitty litter, but it does tend to get clogged if too much material enters the hose at once.
PROS
What we like:
- Lightweight
- Maneuverable
- Very powerful
- Large dirt bin
- Washable filter
- Lots of accessories
- Long extension hose
CONS
What we didn't like:
- Motor tends to overheat and burn out
- Vacuum is easily clogged
- Belt is a little weak, but replacements can be easily found
- Is not great for deep carpets
Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum
This is one of the simplest and most affordable vacuum cleaners out there, but that does not mean that it can’t do a good job. If you need a cheap vacuum that still works, the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum is a good option to keep in mind.
Features
One of the best parts about the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum by far is that it is great for both hard floors and carpets too. It comes with a convenient on/off brush roll feature.
This allows you to turn the brush on for carpets and allows you to keep it shut off for cleaning hardwood floors.
Carpets get clean and wood floors don’t get scratched when using the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum. We like this because we have lots of different floor types in our home, especially hardwood floors that can be easily scratched.
The fact that the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum only weighs 4 pounds is simply amazing. Pushing it around for hours on end or walking up and down stairs with it could really not be any easier. We don’t like having grandma vacuum, but she sure likes doing it, so the fact that it’s lightweight is a bonus for her.
We also like the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum because of its free standing design. In other words, it won’t fall down if you aren’t holding it, which is convenient for busy people who are always on their cellphones. Also, being able to let go of the vacuum to tend to our children is very useful too.
The fact that the Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum has a big dirt container is another bonus. You don’t have to empty the bin too often, and when you do, it’s done with the click of a button. It even has a washable filter for your convenience. The Eureka Easy Clean 2 in 1 Lightweight Vacuum can easily convert into a handheld vacuum with the push of a button, making it a quick and easy spot cleaning tool.
On that same note, the telescopic handle makes this vacuum great for people of all sizes. This vacuum, while not really all that powerful, does work well for tight spaces like the corner where our dog sleeps.

What we like:
- Extremely lightweight
- Large dirt capacity
- Washable filter
- Stands on its own
- Converts into a handheld model
- Good for carpets and hard floors
CONS
What we didn't like:
